Utillity Device

Postby lindz » Jan 19th, '07, 16:28

What is everyones favorite utillity device here. It could be anything you like e.g TT, swami gimmick or even something like a it. Im just interested to see how my fellow magicians differ from me, also i would like to know some devices i havent got or heard of i think it could be quite interesting.
The utillity device i currently get most use out of is my stealth assassin so that would have to be my choice.

If a short card counts as a device, it'd have to be that.

Its amazing that all these gimmicks dont appeal to me at all. I don't think I would ever use a TT or short card. I can see myself using IT in the near future but apart from that I can never see me owning these.

All the tricks I perform are totally impromptu and I don't know if you guys see that as a good or bad thing. I love it. At the moment I feel I don't need anything else as my magic is just in the street. I would like to do a bit of table hoping at a restaurant but only as a one off just to see how it plays.

I would love to see what you guys think about other popular gimmicks.

I'd say that the stripper and ID. Also I have just started to use swami a lot with my mentalism. So simple yet so strong.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Impromptu ungaffed stuff is great, but just going out armed with basic utility props can mean that your impromptu magic is far stronger.

Now this is good its nice to see how everyone differs and i almost forgot about my ID i use that as much as my stealth aswell so that would be top of mine aswell. Also i havent got a stripper deck but a couple of people have mentioned it i might have a look into one. Also anything counts really as long as you get good use out of whether it be device, gimmick or something thats not related to magic but you have found good use of it. Where im trying to go with this thread is to give eveyone new ideas and devices so if people dont own one then it might open up a new avenue for them. A bit over enthusiastic i know but this is the place to get good advice and tips
