Inkjet printing on bicycle cards?

Postby pcwells » Jan 20th, '07, 11:23

Hiya!

I want to prepare some specialised cards - ESP symbols, words and abstract designs, that would allow me to present card tricks without them being seen as traditional card tricks.

I like the idea of printing onto double-blank bicycle stock, as I think that will help avoid too much of a 'home made' feel to the props, but I have no idea how well they'll take to going through a printer, or whether the ink will 'take'.

Does anyone have any experience in doing this?

Thanks again,

Pete

Pete

You can't injet onto them.

However, some success I've had is by using inkjet T-Shirt transfer paper and ironing the designs onto blanks.

Take a look at your local stationery store.

OK. I'm new here. But to show what a nice guy I am I am going to share one of my best secrets with you.
I like inventing or finding alternative ways to do things, especially if it saves me money.
I have already posted a couple of ideas.

You can print onto bike cards with an inkjet.
Colours etc don't work to well but black is fine. Especially for ESP decks.

Heres what you need to do.

Get a pad of super fine scotch brite, as used in the motor trade. Rub The surface of the card with it to just take the surface of the finish, it only dulls the shine a little. stick it through the printer, put it aside for 20 mins, done
