Strange isn't it? The spirit guide is always something exotic, It never seem to be Kevin who ran the local news agents, but was killed by the 3.15 bus from leeds

Ok, this really, really p*sses me off.

Many folk may not have a great opinion of religion and specifically Christianity - but it still annoys me when whackjobs try and butt in, spout a load of absolute nonsense and give us honest bible bashers an even worse name! You can't just hijack characters and ideas from something and then base your bullcr*p on something which goes against everything they stand for.

I believe in modern day miraculous healings - 60 people have honest to goodness been healed in the last 8 months through prayer in my church, and this isn't a "mate of mate" job - they are recorded by the church leaders and I could get names and conditions if I had to. One guy was healed from a shoulder condition, and he's a top shoulder surgeon himself!

You may all think this is kooky - well, whatever. The point is if St. Paul were really speaking to people today he wouldn't be possessing them and doing stuff in his own name or by his own power - he was just a man, and he died like everyone else. One of the fundamental tenets of Christianity is (or should be) that the very reason we are called Christians - Christ - was God's plan to stop Joe Bloggs in the street from having to go to some random middle man to access God, he can do it for himself, and should be encouraged to do so. If Paul really was speaking, he'd be saying "stop going to freaky healers, get some mates round and have a good pray!"

Sorry for the religious rant - I can see people rolling their eyes already - it just really, really annoys me. We have all on as an institution agreeing with each other, let alone people who want to steal snippets to mix in with their quackery. It seems obvious to me - if Jesus, Moses, the Ark of the Covenant, the cross, the holy grail etc... if any of them had or have an inch of power, then the Christian God (or Jewish God for Moses and the Ark... but that's a whole other issue...!) is real, so read your bible or talmud or whatever and start believing the whole thing! If you don't believe in God or Jesus, then don't s*d around pretending people are being healed by chips of the original cross etc. etc. It Yet there are actually people there who believe their homes to be possessed, get a priest round who says prayers and does things in the name of Jesus... he leaves, problem solved, and the nutters remain agnostic or apathetic!!!

If an Apostle was really going to help in this process from beyond the grave, (yeah right!) I'd guess it wouldn't St.Paul, but more believably the Gospel writer Luke who was a doctor in real life. Anyway, I'm quite convinced that we all have to facility for self healing even if it's a question of changing diet, daily activities or just making decisions such as limiting alcohol and tobacco intake and that sort of stuff. I gave up using pain killers for headaches years ago as they just didn't work and can usually ease a headache by either going out for a walk in the fresh air or just consciously relaxing and mentally easing any stresses which may be causing the headache. It isn’t difficult, I'm sure we can all do it when we try. And as for Damascus, didn't it used it kill 99% of all household germs ?

...it strange that whenever some people get faced with some massive upheaval in their life, usually something very traumatic...they end up suddenly believing in these kinda things...

in a way i feel sorry for the guy, must of been awful to go through what he did...BUT!

someone should just sit down with him and sort him out properly...and not let him charge 30 quid to spiritually heal people...my belief is that it obviously isnt what he says it is, its as has been said before - the power of the human mind, and the belief in what is happening...an expectation...

i often watch Colin Fry to make my blood boil, but also to pick up on lots of tips....its amazing when you watch that show and take notes of his technique....colin fry...the kenneth williams of mediums....ooooooh stop messin' about...

He's very clearly a fake, but he might be so buried inside the lie that it's become his reality. Certainly his wife is incredibly gullible, but doing it to his daughter was either cruel or he simply can't help it.

What was interesting for me was watching the guy's eye access cues to various questions. It was clear that he was constructing some answers while remembering others. The trouble was that some constructed answers were being given as if remembered. Odd, that. If it was me, I'd have calibrated him properly and started again, then found a paradox for him to explain to see if I could force a spontaneous reaction.

And why did St. Paul not have a better vocabulary, only a slightly posher accent, like a cockney trying to sound a bit la-di-da? (No offence to cockneys)

..he used the same vocabulary didnt he...plus, as his "normal" self, he was quite a "Look at me" type wasnt he...with his over-the-top friendliness and humour...like he's exaggerating his real self more to compensate for the saint-side...

the bit that made me laugh was when he met his daughter as "paul", the first thing he said was "OOoh you're big.." then when she was taken aback, he added "oh, i mean from when i last saw you..."

This whole topic angers me so much that I sha'nt get involved.
