I was never talking about YT per se but using it as an example as where most of these things take place.

So it would now be fair to say that we can ethically allow the instruction of the commonplace tricks and effects that we were taught in our early days however ethically and morally it is completely wrong to allow the exposure of copyrighted material.

Case closed!! :)

And there was me thinking you had something new to say on this subject judging from the first post, but alas it was the same old thing thats been disscussed before with the same old answer... no wonder I couldn't get your point, you didn't have one or if that was it then it was lost in your first ramblings..

I give up.

Who is "we"? trust me the average , spotty american teeager can't even spell ethics let alone figure out what it means, they just get spoon fed the latest effect from the latest "trendy" magician and lap it up, they don't bother practicing the move/effect they just watch the video and off they go exposing themselves....

So I stand by my statement ETHICS don't come into it... if you want to complain about something complain about sites like ellusionist, they do far more harm than any "exposure" site ever could by advertising and marketing to that sort of customer.

I've noticed no ill effects myself.

Let's not branch this into another pointless thread.

Why do so many valid threads have to end with such egotystical, stereotypical rants by people and personal insults with absolutely no revevance?

Seige is, unfortunately, right when he says 'It's becoming more obvious that there's a stalemate situation being reached on the morals, ethics, honour and importance of internet exposure... ' and so I think this thread should be left now, with the few previous moronic posts removed, and everyone can make up their own minds on the subject.

I wouldn't call that personal insult.. he was being truthful as was I, I don't feel insulted more let down with his lack of ability to debate as the thread title suggested.

As for "moronic" posts would you care to clarify which those are and give your thoughts? I see no reason to close this thread.

Executive decision:

When a debate turns silly, the thread gets locked.

Guess what?

Another perfectly reasonable debate ruined.
