The Hogfather

Postby the_mog » Dec 16th, '06, 21:09

ok heres the thing... I'm off out for an xmas Do tomorrow night BUT i really want to see "The Hogfather" on the telly. now the obvious answer would be to set the video however i know for a fact that as soon as i leave the house my wife is rattling through channels like theres no tomorrow so chances are all i'll record are 3 inute clips from each channel that telewest have to offer!

So the big question is... if someone records it could they let me see it?

I'll Sky+ it and send you a DVD, if it's not in contravention of any copyrights or owt. I'm a stickler for rules ;)

I forgot all about this until seeing this thread, so only caught the last half hour.
Did a bit of a dig and came up with the following info....

Sunday 17th December 8-10pm Sky One Terry Pratchett's Hogfather Pt 1
Monday 18th December 8-10pm Sky One Terry Pratchett's Hogfather Pt 2

Monday 25th December 1-3pm Sky One Terry Pratchett's Hogfather Pt 1
Tuesday 26th December 1-3pm Sky One Terry Pratchett's Hogfather Pt 2

Wednesday 27th December 7-9pm Sky Two Terry Pratchett's Hogfather pt1
Thursday 28th December 7-9pm Sky Two Terry Pratchett's Hogfather pt2

Saturday 30th December 3-5pm Sky Two Terry Pratchett's Hogfather pt1
Sunday 31th December 3-5pm Sky Two Terry Pratchett's Hogfather pt2

info came from here

I was gutted to have missed the beginning, but at least now we know it is on again. Apparently they have optioned the first 2 books as well(colour of magic and light fantastic)....great books but I would love to see a GOOD adaptation of "MORT".

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh

Thanks for that, I watched the 'Making of' programme earlier and was all set to watch the first part then unexpected visitors arrived, the VCR wouldn't work and I was not a happy chappie!

So did anyone see it? I managed to miss it as I was round my girlfriends and the silly bint hasn't got Sky.

As for potential Pratchett tv adaptations Hogfather was always the one that I thought would translate best but otherwise anything featuring the Watch would be good. Perhaps Jingo.

I thought it was average at best - Mr. Teatime, who surely is supposed to send an eerie chill down your neck, was just plain annoying. The graphics/effects were not all that good, the scenes seemed to cut about wildly and the acting was all a bit wooden... actually, slightly below average :?
