i am not able to open one of the knives and show blade.

If it is the same version I have, there is a small sentence or two amidst the instructions that give you an exact method for opening them up.....have a close read and see if it is not burried somewhere in them...that is where I found mine! If you can't find it in there, PM me what yours look like and I will tell you how mine work!
