Greetings from sunny South Africa.

A friend of mine "stumbled" across your site today & recomended I check it out (I'm sure he'll be along & introduce himself later)
I took a look around & liked what I saw, so thought I'd introduce myself

I was originaly born in Bristol, England & moved to South Africa with my Parents ±20 years ago

I have been into magic since I was about 5 having seen David Copperfield vanish a Lear-Jet, but due to lack of funds & a missunderstanding of what magic is, it's only been in the last 2 years that I have been practising this great art. The 1st 18month was spent mainly with gimmick decks (Svengali, Stripper, some others) & then towards the end of last year I picked up Royal Road To Card Magic & my magic realy started to blossom.
Cards are my main field, but I would love to start doing Parties.

Looking forward to learning much from this site

Hi and welcome - pleased to hear your news and background and we're looking forward to hearing from your friend as well. You'll probably notice that we're a very strange bunch but we're quite harmless really - that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. Hope to hear more from you in due course!

Welcome DarKwan.

I love that we are becoming a truly international forum for magicians. Heck we even have 4 Scottish members! (but please don't let that put you off*).

I look forward to your posts. Are you a member of a club or society?

*I'm KIDDING!!!!

Unfortunately I'm not part of a club or society :(
I tried to join the Magic Circle here & was made to feel anything but welcome
I am meeting another magician this weekend who used to live in this area & knows of other groups, so maybe I'll be able to join one soon :D

If this place is half as mad as I think it is, then I'll feel right at home
