what material do they use on magic tables?

I'm assuming that you mean the covering?

If this is the case then the answer for card tables is usually baize. Magic tables can vary but are often the same, or have a close up mat on top.

Be sure to buy ultra-lightweight baize if you're thinking of table levitations though.

Gravity's a bu**er to tame...
