I have noooooo idea if it is the same thing, probably unlikely but I had something like this 15 years ago and it was pants. A faint wisp of smoke-like chemicals rather than smoke.
If anybody has an answer based in this decade I would be interested to hear it :)

sounds like the stuff i tried last month though not that make similar price though basicly not worth the money, just my opinion but if you cant get a demonstration in store dont buy it.

This takes me back yonks!! Basically it's a glue-like substance which you squirt onto your fingers then manipulate it so it goes all fine and stringy. At this point the strands seem to float up and off your fingers a bit like smoke. But not much. It's not all that bad for what it is but I'd keep your money in your pocket and put it towards something more useful!

I also remember this... it really stank, and the result wasn't worth it.
In the same era - those funny little black pills which you lit, and they extruded into 'ash worms'... also, there was those funny little tablets you could put in cigarettes which made a snow-like effect when being smoked, and my own personal favourite - LIQUID BALLOONS... tube of weird rubber stuff, which you squirt about a pea-sized blob out, insert a straw, and blow into a balloon... which then hardened! Awesome...

'thanks for the memories' as they say!

Not only did the balloon thing work, but you could do some WEIRD things with the stuff.

When it 'set', the balloons were semi-permanent. Not really 'more fun than you can poke a wet stick at', but a damn close contender!

Remember those little mini Cap Guns and Cap Rockets??!?!?

i used to love the "devil bangers", the ones that you threw on to the ground and the banged.... a personal fave of mine of mine was to cunningly hide one in an ashtray full of ash and wait for someone to lay a ciggie on it... hehe

I used to do that too, with those rolls of red pistol caps (like dots on a pink ribbon...)... used to be quite amusing!

Ahhhh, the carefree days of childhood. Now it's all bills, work and furry ears!

lol
So it was the same stuff then, horrible stuff wasn't it.
I fondly look back through rose tinted specs at my spud/water/cap gun, sigh, an all in one wonder of past gone technology.

I also remember smoke bombs so strong that they would start a terrorist alert these days and stink bombs that you would keep in the shed as if one went off in your bedroom you would have to move house.
sigh again.

Cig bangers that would shred a fag and part of the smokers face and indoor fireworks, lol. Not to mention x-ray specs, a mirror on your shoe for looking up girls skirts (I kid you not!) and amazing gunpowder bombs! They were great, those little white packages that you threw at the floor and they banged, or you emptied then all into one big package and tried to remove somebodies leg with.

lol, damn those health and safety tree huggers.

you can get a version of the bubble stuff from woolies, which is similar to the stuff you get with bubble vision a trick were you blow a bubble it lands on the table but dosnt buurst you pick up the bubble and it is now a soolid sphere, the sphere is squashed flat and becomes a disc, the clear disk then becomes multicoloured then can be handed out, nice use of the bobo switch

joke shop has some nice stuff that can be used as props in magic and cheep too.
