The first company to launch quadyplay : Telco, broadband, digital tv and mobile.

You dont need a phone line with virgin media to run broadband. You can however choose any two services from Telco, DTV or BB for £20 which is going down a treat.

Its cable so no phone line.. thats right discoman

It's weird because I have/had NTL tv, broadband, phone along with a virgin mobile PAYG but haven't really heard much from virgin media apart from they are changing their name.
Do I get a discount or what?

I also happen to get my wines from Virgin Wines...

I think Richard Branson owns my ass

I can give you some contact details by pm.. the mobile is the only thing we dont deal directly with so I get a whopping £1 per referral  everything else I get £30 per revenue genrating unit.. so potentially £475 every sale

Pm me and Ill give you the details .. virgin customers get £10 a month sim deal which gives you 300 x-network calls & 300 x-network texts on a rolling contract..

Greedoniz.. If you want v+hd... ( equivalent to Sky + and Sky HD that kicks their ass and is cheaper ) I can sort you out a good deal!!

It's great for you to offer but I would have no idea what to do with a sky + type system. I dont really watch much tv.

The state of the footie at the moment you may want to fast forward the live match to the end

I'll have a look at the Virgin package as I've been unhappy with ntl for a while now. However, if you give ntl a call and tell them that you want to cancel then they will virtually give the stuff away to keep you.

I was threatening to go to Sky and got a free upgrade to 10Mb broadband at £7 per month cheaper, kept the phone at the same and got the full Sky movie and sport packages free for 6 months which has another month left to run so I need to find another good deal to squeeze it out of them again.

Most of these media companies will do almost anything to keep their customers so don;t be afraid to haggle right to the end and DON'T settle for the first offer that they make you!

I was with Birmingham Cable which became Telewest which became ntl etc and when I told them I'd had enough of the channels disappearing and the lack of up to date cabling to allow digital in my area so I was off to Sky they just said 'OK' !

I'm very surprised to hear that Mandrake.

I've been a customer for god knows how long - about 15 years and was one of their first customers when they offered a dial up internet service in those speedy days when a 56K modem was wasted on a phone line

I told a mate about what ntl had done and he also got some upgrades to stay. maybe it's the area.

The local Telewest sales rep told me that they didn’t have the funding for uprated cables and it would be at least 2 years before they redid our bit – this would be at least 6 years ago now. He said he didn’t blame me for switching and was equally dischuffed as even he couldn’t get the ‘new’ digital only channels! They were so unconcerned about losing a customer they didn’t even bother collecting the cable set top boxes and I still have both of them.

We still have their phone service so I had a lot of bumf about the change to Virgin but we’ve got the dish so are very unlikely to go back to a cable service.

There has been some work doing updating the cables, and Sir Richard is talking of making Virgin Media available to non-serviceable areas.. I think

The V+ HD service is rather good.. and some good stuff is planned for this year.

I work in X-seel so I dont deal with existing customers and I often go in at the cheapest price we can do it at. My comission isnt based on how much the customer ends up paying.. ill always give the best offer so I get full whack comission and customer gets best package.. I cant be bothered with bartering.. go in at lowest price level.. if they want more whack on something free for a month.. I always play legit but smart
