Switched from Bikes to Bee's

Postby dizzydog » Feb 9th, '07, 04:26

Good move IMO. For me its just the FEEL of the cards, makes me feel better about performing.

Now I need some ideas for impromptu Street tricks that require some destroying of cards. Ive got 20 decks of Bikes to burn through!

quickest way to get through the 20 decks of bikes would be to mail them out to a member that uses bikes.....LOL!

Immaculate connection is a great impromptu effect that will go through them quite quickly....you burn up three fresh cards everytime you perform it.......or any torn and restored or effects with the mercury card fold.

I will have to take the Vid suggestion above because I got it from the "Stars of Magic Series" manuscript on it by Paul Harris.....I also know that there are a few demo (not exposure) vids on youtube and magicvideodepot I beleive it is called. I read the info originally and thought...."This effect sucks, and isn't worth the time spent learning it"...I then seen it performed on a TV magic special by a man named and thought "Holy Sh#t!!!!......is that good".....went back and found the manuscript, practiced it like a mad man, and it has never left my side since!

before you destroy all those cards lol, If you have bee decks with an allover back design (no border). This can cause problems in any effect needing reversed cards, as this can be seen (especially a few together) from looking at the side of the deck. And when doubles are not aligned perfectly.

I prefer the feel of bees but dont use them for magic for this reason. If you dont do any effects of this nature, forget i said anything :D

Good point Keymaster......

That is really the only thing that would keep my from using bees.....they are a good quality card, but find that they don't fit into many of the effects in my repetoire that require doubles, reversed cards, etc
