On your audition letter when does it say the next audition times are?

well I'm back this is how it went.

I got to the place with the routine ready and set to go, after the registration I got put into a group and sent into a room where a camera crew were. We then had to practice in this room whilst being filmed I thought it would be a good idea to make a balloon sculpture to take into the audition with me. The camera crew where so impressed with the balloons that they started getting loads of shots of them! I ended up giving loads of them to kids so there where loads of them about the room.

They were also surprised that I was going to audition with magic and told me I would most likely get through making a balloon. So I quickly changed my routine to one magic trick (Liquid Metal) and one balloon Sculpture (Road Runner) I also pre made Daffy Duck on a bike and a Sponge Bob.

The audition itself (which was filmed but won’t appear on TV) went ok. I made the Road Runner, popped the last balloon but luckily I had some extra balloons blown up and then gave it to the producer. Then I went onto the trick. I think I left them speechless and also got a funny look. (I don’t know if that was good or bad) and that’s about it. They did say I will get a phone call in about 4-6 weeks

All in all I was there for about 5 hours with alot of waiting around.

So good luck to everyone who has entered.

very well done! sounds an experience!

my audition first is on saturday, did a mock performance of it last night in front of some laymen, and they said it was "phenominal". I messed up once (dropped 3 cards from backpalm) but i just carried on and they were still floored.

so i guess im still practicing! and have 3 days left! :D

i hope you get through mr Hyams! Maybe if we both do we woiuld compete agianst each other...loser buys the round down the pub ;)

Love

Chris
