Reversed Court Card

Postby Lord Freddie » Feb 25th, '07, 12:42

Have been studying this trick from Hugard's Encyclopedia Of Card Tricks and can only find the mark on the K.
Does the description refer to an older type of Bicycle cards? Is my eyesight going?

nope
can't even find the mark on the K. there's no shading there.

edit: just found the K mark, was looking in the centre, not the side.
and the J is in the hand lines.
not found the Q yet though.

Not just me then! The K I can find, but the others...
It doesn't even add up to those in the book. I can only assume it's an older design that's referred to.

No it's not just you.
There's no spades where the book claims so they must have changed the design.
maybe the answer is to find discrepancies in other suits court cards and not just spades.

Thanks Beeno, it appears to be a nice little quirk but sadly not one I could find! The K has one of the circles in his hat completely black whereas the others have a white dot in the centre, but that's all I could see.
