Talking Bill

Postby PB » Feb 28th, '07, 03:45

A few years ago I saw a television show on sub-cultures. They featured magicians, and one of them did a trick where George Washington started talking on his bill. Does anyone know anything about this trick?

Thanks

Not sure, but I know of a British schoolboy version where the queen ends up doing something. It's not talking though, but has something to do with the mouth.
It's achieved by folding the note in a certain way, then moving the fold.

I love dong that to the dear old queen. Kids mostly are fascinated by it. On the old £5 notes you used to be able to make her do something very rude indeed too.

I'm sure that could be taken as high treason, you'll be locked up in the Tower for that Mr Tomo.

That's what I mean. Does it only work with old fivers? Not tried it for a long time.
Ah right, just had a look and I see they've changed the design. Damn :x

Thanks for the feedback. I think I know the trick your talking about Beeno. It's where you can make the Queen look happy and sad :) This one actually had George Washington's mouth moving though. It was some kind of modified bill.

As for the other trick, if it's the one I'm thinking of you can still do it with the Queen on the Australian 5 dollar note ;)
