Hi there,

Just wondered if you guys are still performing Nailed? I haven't used it for a while. I've had some great reactions with it, but one person after the effect said to me - 'Great, but I guess you just forced the king on me'.

I have a problem with any gimmicked / gaff cards that state a particular card. Or placing a duplicate card in such an impossible location to 'reveal' later. I wonder if when the spec has gone anyway and started to think about the effect, they will end up thinking, 'he must have forced that card on me'. I then wonder if they would think that all of my effects used forced cards!?

Maybe I'm just thinking too much!

:D

i use this trick alot and love it. Having said that i kinda feel like "last deck on the left" in that it seems a wee bit tooo convienient to have that king of clubs in there and whilst people are (and i cant emphasise this enough) astonished (and i love it when they grab to examine stuff lol)....i dont know it just seems a bit to "neat". I also concur in that i dont want everyone thinking "it doesnt matter what card i pick it'll be the one he wants".....psychologically thats got to get boring quickly for the spec.....having said that do get the trick it is worth the boodle and you'll use it loads of times, and get reactions like your jimi hendrix flossing with a strat 8) :D .....just thought i would give my thoughts though.!!!

Hmmm - I agree this is a fantastic effect.

However....I got mine about 9 months back, used it several times, and then put it away, whilst concentrating on other stuff.

When I came back to it (a few weeks ago), I noticed that the envelope had kinda' warped a little around the gimmick; not hugely, but enough so any light reflecting off the envlope points directly to the modus operandi

I hasten to add that the kit had been stored flat, in a cool, dark cupboard.

I can certainly get around this, by keeping the envelope bent/under pressure, but I was wondering if anyone else had found this problem with the gaff?

Couldn't Agree More.

I have just recieved this effect and I couldn't be happier with it. In my opinion, Sankey's tricks are normally on paper, fantastic, but in reality they take a lot of effort to work into strolling situations. Nailed, however, is perfect. The look on the spectator's face when they see that hole in the card at first is priceless. They know exactly what is coming.

Well, three years later, and nobody else seems to have mentioned the same problem with the gimmick that I still have.

I guess I must just have a slighty dodgy one - I'll drop Jay a line, and see what he suggests

...Sadly, Jay appears to suggest I should expect to buy the effect all over again - no option to purchase a decent prop by itself, just man-up and hand over the purchase price all over again.

As nice as the effect is, with such a lack of concern, I'll not be purchasing from Mr. Sankey again
