For anyone else feelble minded enough to, like myself, wander 'What is blocking out the moon?', the image below should explain all.
Almost all of it is gone now from where I am (West Midlands).

Remember this type of event was a reputation maker for magicians of yore!

Hope you all enjoy it.

Do you know, I've had a wonderful magical afternoon and evening being shunted between groups of strangers and I told them all to watch for it.

Wow! I know! i've just seen it!All red! It's soo beautiful!and quite eerie...

It's interesting to think what people living in old old old england thought about it...something bad? Something good? or just that the world was about to end? And yes what a way to get a reputation! :D

When my mother was in India they believed that a dragon was eating the moon.
So they all got pots and pans and started to whack them together to make a noise to scare the dragon away.

Must have worked, I suppose.....

Tomo: I hope you gave them the impression that you ordaned it! (See I can do anything with a stripper deck  )

Anubis: I was thinking more of old old old egypt - I thought with a name like yours you would have been on my wavelength. I suppose the old Brit* druids new a thing or two about time-keeping on a grand scale though. Have you seen their big stone cuckoo clock?

Sax: For all me and thee really know that's just as plausible as Jack's anatomy picture posted all the way up there..

*Hope thats PC enough
