Derek Vernon (yes, no kidding- the actual son of Dai Vernon) has asked me to see if I can find out anything about Encore Magic who are I believe based in the UK.

He has purchased a few props online and has not received them. He has made various transatlantic calls to a fellow called Chris and has gotten nowhere. Derek is quite elderly and shouldn't have to be doing all this. Chris told him that he had been broken into on the first call but has made no reply to subsequent calls and Derek is worrying if he has lost his money since the fellow's website is down.

An e-mail to either me or Derek wouldn't go amiss. Or if anyone can post some information about this company please do so.

This sort of thing shouldn't be happening.

I apologise. The company is based in the US. We British are innocent after all. I got confused when Derek said he had to make a lot of transatlantic calls. I hadn't realised he is in London as we speak.

It's still a bit of a shame though that he has to go through this hassle at his age and after what his Dad has done for magic.

That looks like a website thats going places

Thats seriously out order though, Dai is one of the Godfathers of magic and people should not mess with his family like that.

Surely there are some kind of internet fraud prevention agency that could be looked up?

Nobody should go through treatment like that.
