At 45euro it seems a tad on the expensive side. You could achieve the same effect with a Crook Lock which is cheaper. Perhaps though this one does more.

Crook Lock review on TM

Locked for Life A combination padlock that spec's can open using a date personal to them.

Most effects are based on 7 keys to baldpate which you can easily make yourself using a regular padlock.

Lock and Key (Henry Fetsch)

Effect

Several Keys and a lock are handed to a spectator for examination. Only one key will open the lock. The performer locks the opened lock into the lapel buttonhole of the spectator, and the keys are mixed in a borrowed hat by anyone. This person takes a bunch of small drug envelopes and drops a key into each and seals them. They are placed in the hat again and shaken up. The performer may be blindfolded if desired, and reaching into the hat picks out one envelope at a time, tossing each aside until he comes to one he 'feels' contains the right key. Tearing open the envelope he dumps out the key and it successfully opens the lock. There is nothing wrong to be found with the keys or lock.

The prepartion and routine to this effect can be found in Theo Annemann's Practical Mental Magic (Dover, 1983 p.105-6)

You can get a copy from Amazon for £10.36 or as an ebook from Lybrary for $6

This is the old Seven Keys to Baldpate. Save yourself the time and trouble and buy it. There are a number of possible effects that you can do with it based on your own ingenuity

Seven Keys to Baldpate

Postby DrTodd » Apr 4th, '07, 08:08

I reviewed Seven Keys to Baldpate from the Trickshop (http://www.trickshop.com) last year. It is very simple to do and quite effective. You only need a regular padlock, seven keys, and a paper bag. The supplies are available at any DIY shop and the handling is really nice.
