Before starting, i want to apology for my english, i speak much better then i write it.
My name is Jeff, i am a french magician, living in Spain (i love the sun!). I write a lot in french & spanish magic forums and i just make a litle discovery for cards workers, and i like to share it whit U, the same way i share it whit the rest of the forums.
I call it the "Jeff's emergency fanning powder"
. If you need fanning powder, for emergency purpose only, just burn "Blue tac" until the ash get white (not black). Usually, magician always (must of them) have blue tac with the close up material. If this is the case, you can use it. Of course, the real fanning powder is much better, but for emergency, blue tac will work fine!
You will find that the burned blue tac have the same texture of the fanning powder. I hope this litle trick can be usefull 4 all of U.
