It's a marked deck. Only difference is, this one is the ultimate one ;)

Sorry, but if it's secrets were disclosed, it wouldn't have any secrets!

Know what I mean?

If you have the patience, making your own marked deck is quite easy. The only problems I've ever had is choosing a scheme and testing a few ink sources for colour. Other than that, it's a question of not wearing them out too fast and having to mark up another deck.

I have to say - the Ultimate Marked deck IS GOOD!!

I have had the deck examined all over and because it's soooo obvious they really do not find the markings!! The deck is easy to use and because only a glimpse is required the marked deck suspicion is lost!! I HAVE PSYCHIC POWER!!

I use this for a reversed/upright version of the biddle trick which fools seemingly everyone!!

The only problem with a deck which costs so much is that you have to be super careful where you use it!! You REALLY don't want to damage it!!

Combine this with 3rd Degree burn or an index and you are set for a night of free drinkies!!

:D

In my experience people only think the marks on these decks are obvious until they've actually used them with spectators who don't suspect they're there. Of course, if you lead them to suspect that the deck is marked you're doing something wrong.
Having examined both I wouldn't say the Wild deck is better hidden than the Ultimate deck as such, but self-made Wild decks are far far better value. I think the pricing of the Ultimate deck is shameful.

I tend to agree that there is not a lot in it as far as which deck out of the Wild, Lesley or Ultimate have the better markings. They are all good.

My own feelings though is that having a deck printed up is better than making one yourself. Not because it takes a prticularly long time to make, but because the pre-printed ones last as long as the cards do. The ones I have personally made up on the other hand do tend to detereorate after usage.

and if you dont always feel the need to use bike branded cards, fournier have a mighty good marked deck for around eight quid...lovely cards they are...

they do a whole range of magic-related cards, all are superb...

Ah-ha! I didn't want to mention them myself because I'm always banging on about them (see my review from ages ago). I knew it wouldn't be long before someone did though. One of the best kept secrets around.

Now, if Fournier can make them for that price why can't USPCC (who - surely - can make much larger economies of scale) do it? Answer: they can make them for that price but they'd rather sell them for a lot more.
(Chunter...designer decks...chunter...cost out of all proportion...blather, chunter. Have you missed me? No, don't answer that).

I've always marked up my own, really don't like the idea of spending silly amounts of money on a pack of cards (call me tight).

One top tip, the wilko blue permanent markers are a perfect match for the blue bike backs

The Ultimate deck is the best I have ever used. I need the information quickly and easily. My eyes are not the best...I cannot afford to use cards that I have to stare at close-up.
