I hope this isnt giving too much away, but i was wondering if you can use any other type of material as IT. I intend to order some, but is there any household material i could somehow strip down? If this is absolutely stupid just say so but im hoping theres some kind of temporary substitute....

This sounds insane, and probably obvious, but it's worth using cotton to setup/practice before using IT. That way, you get used to positions and hookups without wastage.

Siege has a valid point/idea!!

If you are not used to looking for IT then when using IT can be a pain - especially if it sticks to your clothes (happened to me!) using plain cotton (lightweight) is good as you get used to where it hangs and how to manipulate it!!
When I first had IT I used the whole bl00dy lot up so quickly because I wasn't used to it!!

I also pratice with regular cotton T****d when I am working on something.....I do find that it is much easier to figure out the handling and positioning......you also avoid the regular breakage that you deal with when trying to work on new things with IT
