For what reason did you want the *strongest* magnet?

Common misconception!

There's a huge amount of info about these rings in the forum, try the search feature. It's a little button near the top of every page, under the black 'Talkmagic.co.uk' header, inbetween FAQ and Usergroups.

Has anyone tried the Vortex ring?
It's poles are around the curve, not the centre. Is this an improvement?

I'll be looking for a new one soon. The Wizard one is good, but breaks and wears easily. It caused a real extreme allergy on my fingers that not even a coating of nail varnish on it will eradicate. Eased it somewhat, but the coating of the ring itself is starting to peel and I've only had it about four months.
Having said that, I have used it a lot though and it's strong enough for what I need it for. If I need a stronger ******, ie: through thick tables or suchlike, I use The Bat.

 Never you mind!

It's strong enough to move some objects from a few inches away and stopping watches. There's a great (and simple to do!) Coin In Bottle that can be performed with the PK ring.
I managed to get a box of ma****ic rocks for £1 from a shop when I was on holiday and they are small and quite powerful and when used in conjuction with a PK ring produce great results.
I hide one in the lid of a plastic biro, which I put on a bottle top or such like and make move with the "power of my mind" .
People are less likely to suspect anything if you are using a non-metal object and even if the thought pops into their head, they will quickly dismiss it.

If you need any more info then PM me. If you use things like coin unique, it works as a handy reset device which you can do almost under the spec noses without them noticing anything.

I've not used it with a PK coin, but with normal copper coins, it does 'talk' quite a bit. If you are in a situation where surrounding noise will cover this, you'll be ok, but I've never managed to get a coin to flip with it.

I find that 'gaffing' my own (or any handy) non-metallic objects works very well. I usually put a small m******c rock in the lid of a plastic biro which reduces any suspicion.

I often make a table knife placed on top of a bottle spin around and I have a Bat concealed under the opposite sleeve so that if anyone suspects the ring at all, I can do it with the other, ringless, hand.

DiscoDude (of the magic persuasion)...

Some scotch & soda coins, plus coin uniques CAN be made to flip, but it depends on the strength of the doo-dah inside.

Also, for the spinning cutlery effect, try this... place a desert/soup spoon with it's bowl back upwards, and rest a fork on top like a see-saw, so the tiniest of contact between the stem of the fork and the curved bowl of the spoon is made.

That way, even the slightest influence from a PK ring will cause movement. And as stated by Freddie, alternating your hands once momentum is achieved takes the heat off the PK ring.
