The Magic Radio Show

Postby Pistol » Jan 26th, '04, 18:35

While stumbling around the internet I found The Magic Radio Show:

http://www.themagicradioshow.com

It broadcasts on Monday nights at 9pm EST (that's about 2am Tuesday morning for all of us in sunny old Britain!). Have a look at the archive section, some very boring long chats but also some great interviews and theorys - enjoy.

Postby Pistol » Jan 26th, '04, 18:46

Me again! After chatting to Mandrake I decided to post a few more links for sites I've stumbled across recently which some may not yet have found:

Andi Gladwin & Andy Leviss' site:
http://www.asquaredproductions.com/

Kenton Knepper & J. Tank's site:
http://www.wonderwizards.com/

American suppliers:
http://www.ronjo.com/

Some nice card flourish videos:

Hope these are of some help.

Thanks for the welcome, I've been 'guesting' for a while but happy to be 'in'! Hope that my ramblings will 'help the cause'.

you are most welcome fellow rambler.

Age and Status in your Profile
To help other members form a more visual picture, it would be nice to include your age and 'magic status' as a small signoff in your profile.

We're standardising this to an additional bit of info in the Location panel in your profile... and the format is

(??A : ??S) where as the ??A = your age, and the ??S = your status, chosen from the list below...

EN = Eager Newbie
AH = Amateur Hobbyist
SH = Skilled Hobbyist
WP = Working Professional
CP = Career Professional

So, for example - your Location could be

"Kent, UK, (30:WP)", meaning you're a 30 year old working pro...

This is NOT obligatory, but may help during conversation!

Visting Professional Magicians - it would be much appreciated if you could please make yourselves known to one of the Moderators!

Good to have you here Pistol. That's a nice set of links. It always amazes me exactly how much information there is out there on the net and how little of it we actually get to see.

What I need to be is a professional web browser. Obviously the job would need to be well paid and offer a lot of time off so that I could practice any information (tricks and sleights) I find.

I like the magic of the host Andrew Mayne, I saw a clip where he pushed a pencil through his cheek. He does a lot of wierd stuff like this and poking himself in the head with an umbrella.

Anyway i'll probably download a few of these show, any idea how long they last?

Each show lasts about 2 hours. As I say, it's live at about 2am UK time but it's best if you just dowload the archived shows as you skip the bits you don't want and replay the bits you do.

As for the amazing researching resource, the Internet; I've been online since the early nineties and I truely believe that there is no subject not covered by some weird or obscure site. As I stumble across more 'magical' websites (sic) I'll add them to this thread.
