Same as that Dat. I donated my time and skills to make money. Just been down all the pubs in rochester with some other magicians. Great fun and got some gigs out of it which is always a bonus.

I never really donate much for comic relief for a few reasons:

1. Don't got too much money in the first place

2. Something like 15% of all funds raised goes to abortion clinics in the UK, which i don't agree with

3. Don't have a cradit card innit

Sam

Ps. Just out of intrest how much did they raise?

£2.50 buys a mosquito net which saves a life, or two is it's mother and baby.

Can you supply a reference for that please, because I think it's not true.

40% of the funds go to the UK, is 15% of the funds went to abortion clinics in the UK, then that would be 1/3 of the UK allotment goes to abortion clinics. Sounds like rubbish to me.

You can give money by cash in any post office or bank.

Sir_Digby_Chicken_Ceaser wrote:Ps. Just out of intrest how much did they raise?

38 million so far.

I just dont agree with it. Like Bono telling people I should give my money up. If Bono is one for the down trodden why doesnt he pay tax in Ireland to help the Irish? Why has he put all his business accounts in Switzerland or something like that.

And before anyone starts I sit on a board of a panic attacks Chairty , ok its not feeding the starving etc but i do my bit.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Where is all this money they raise going?...Like really seriously going?...

Comic Relief and Children in Need have been going at least 10 years and between them they raise AT LEAST 50 million pounds a year, add to that Geldof and his mob and all the proper charities like Oxfam, Unicef, Save the Children etc and you have several organizations telling us that this is the way to help...But here is this money going?...All these charities must have raised well over a billion pounds in the last decade....and more than likely much more than that pre ten years ago so I ask again, where is it all going?...Why is the stuation getting worse?....I know there are a lot of people in the world and a lot of folk need help but surely if all this money is being spent where it should be then at least a dent should have been made in the poverty level or some quality of life should have taken a step or 30 forward?...no?

Are we really helping poor people? Or are we paying to keep Lenny Henry on the telly another year?...

Thats all the starving need to see Lenny Henrey and his fat wife showing you what it looks like to have 14 meals aday

Bernard Manning.

Gets on my nerves people with more money then me telling me I have to give mine away. And whats the BBC doing getting involved with Red Nose day? or Children in need? My Liesance fee is paying for these and Red nose day is comercial enterprise so I support a comerical enterprise though my tv tax. Red Nose day is supported by sainsburys and walkers amongst others so why do i have to pay for it too.

I agree with Bob on this where is the money going? I would also like to see how much food is behind the curtains for these so called celebs. I bet its some fine faire.

The money gets sent over and most of it gets taken by tinpot goverments. I think it should be the other way round 60% stays in this country to help it first.

Im not a great sponser of comic relief. I do my bit though

I paid out around £15 on Friday at work, but won 2 boxes of chocolate, £20 in cash and was 2nd best dressed Gangster and received a bottle of champagne!! Best £15 I ever gave to charity

But I do go down to local charity shops every month anddonate worn cards, unused items, and out of date clothes.. so I do my bit.. I gave a half worn in black deck last month.. someone will be happy!!
