MOVING

Postby dat8962 » Mar 17th, '07, 01:10

I just accepted a new job today which means that I'll be leaving sunny Bournemouth later this year to set up home with the family in the West Midlands. Fingers crossed but I should be moving around September time if we find the right house.

I already work a few days each month in Wolverhampton for my current employer so I know the areas reasonably well, although I'll be based in Coventry.

Looks like I'll have plenty of opportunity to meet up with some of the TM members based in the Midlands...

I'll keep you posted.

good luck with the new job mate!

i've got to visit Coventry once a year for a fitness test so make sure you have a couple of steaks in the fridge and a bottle of vodka handy for next year!..hehe

good luck with the new job. I don't envy you having to move house though, I know how stressful it can be!

ahhh I hated moving house, I've only done it once and that was as a first time buyer.

Must be a total nightmare if you're trying to sell as well as buy.

I have a relocation package so everything will be taken care of for me - including all of the packing.

I just have to find the house that Mrs dat likes and they take care of the rest, including selling the house that we're currently in.

Sorry to ressurrect an old thread but I thought that I would give you all an update

I was finally made redundant on Friday and after a good night on the town and much of Saturday recovering I've now got three weeks off before starting the new job.

We've bought a house in Leamington Spa and are just waiting to exchange sale contracts on the purchase and the sale of this one which should all happen within the next week or two.

I'll be spending my first few weeks in the Midlands in a hotel if anyone fancies a get together and a pint, and then it will be the house move at the beginning of October (fingers crossed).

Everything has worked out very well but as always, it's sad saying farewell to a lot of good work colleagues :(
