It's not really throwing, it's a sort of fast spin down caused by pinching the end corners together. It looks like a helicopter landing. The card spins out of my pinch and flies out in front of me, and if I've got the angle right (slightly to the left I assume because I'm left handed), simply sinks to the table as it rotates at a high rate of knots. Just pull your thumb in slowly until it pops off the corner as the card sits cradled in compression and the rest is self working, for want of a better description. Once you find your natural range and angles, you know where you're going to put it.
Someone must know what it's called. It's so obvious I can do it on demand! It has to have been done before now!
If this is inadvertent exposure, please shoot, I mean tell, me. It's just such an obvious and impressive way of revealing a card it must be called something.
