http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cu ... conversion

1.00 GBP = 1.96599 USD
1.00 USD = 0.508650 GBP

Thank you, all-knowing Google.

As a very rough rule at the moment, double the british price to get it in $. Also remember that'll have to pay import duty when you do get it.

At the moment the £ is worth much more than the $, brilliant for us Brits buying from the States but not good for Americans buying from here.

I usually double, i think it's roughly that and i think it has been for a while so If it's $60 it's about £30 roughly it might be a bit off but i think it will be quite close.

If the site accepts and you pay by card or Paypal then it matter not what currency they take as both the card issuer or Paypal will do the currency conversion.

They will however charge a small commission or give you a slightly lesser exchange rate for the transaction.

You will not always pay import duty when buying abroad (if you're in the UK that is). It's a rather hit and miss process by my own expereince of buying abroad.
