Postby jugglemonkey » Jan 8th, '04, 20:08

I've been interested in getting this in ages but am put off by the fact it sounds fantastic and cant believe it.
if i were to get this i would want to perform it outside, is this possible? things such as wind, angles(dont know if this applies) and setup.
any help would be great. also what "moves" are included in this pack? levitation?around body?boomerang.

cheers guys

I have never owned this trick but knowing how it works I can say that it will take quite a bit of practice to do well and the setup is not liked by some.
It can do what it says it can do but the magician needs to put the work in to get it smooth and natural looking.

I am sure somebody will be along soon that actualy knows what they are talking about :)

Ok, so is it an effect in which you use flourishes such as the boomerang card and such or are we talking a whole new system? Also does the preparation involve IT, and most importantly are anchor points needed (because i really hate having to set, delicate things up before i perform it)
Sorry bout all the questions. If its a dexterous thing to master I'm cool with it but if its gunna be alot of hassle to set up its prob not gunna be worth it(for me).
Cheers guys

It does involve IT, and as with all such things there is a slight risk of breaking it. If you set it up properly though you should be fairly safe. It is perhaps not the best thing for walkabout and high winds will be a problem.

Practice

Postby S_adamson1 » Mar 7th, '05, 15:58

It is a great effect but takes a lot of practice to make it look good if you are willing to put the time into you are going to have yourself a little masterpiece. When your order first comes dont be dissapointed just practice a lot and you will get better and able to perform as its done in the demo videos.
Hope this Helps

The set up is not all that noticable and can be on u at all times without spectators noticing in the right setting.

I have one for sale on a post elsewhere and have used once. I'm selling for the same reasons that Jugglemonkey has highlighted. It's not for me but I've seen it performed and it is ery visual.

I would say that it's not suited to outdoors but with practice it could be suited to walkaround. Remember what the card does so the thing that you need to perform it is space. You donj't necessarilty get that much space in walkaround so you need to be conscious of this and pick your moment with care.

Other than this, I think that this is an effect that is basic in it's principle and the main ingredient is practice and more practice. There should be no reason why you couln't include this card is a few simple flourishes but I'm not that familiar to be able to tell for sure.

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!
