I am now baffled. I did not write that last sentence saying "at the moment"

Is some mischevious moderator having a burst of whimsy?

Good god Darrel, how do you put up with it?

He wants the information and is willing to suffer for it. Moreover he is not the sort who phones up repeatedly in the middle of the night in a fit of rage just because someone reprimands him in public.

I suspect Darrel is British after all and as such has a proper sense of decorum. We British have a sense of humour embedded at birth in our blood and do not take life quite as seriously as Americans. We may hate each other and snarl ferociously but as products of the British Empire we know how to keep these things under control.

Even the rather dreadful Lord Freddie has a sense of humour. I have seen photographs of how he dresses as proof of it. And angry as he gets he does not make angry and harassing phone calls in the middle of the night to prove his point. As Mr Jay has been known to.

I suggest Mr Jay emulates Tomo who shows his annoyance in a much more subtle manner. And sneaks a bit of advertising of his own book in without anyone noticing.

That is the British way of doing things.

I shall leave you all to it for the moment. Argue among yourselves. I am a terribly busy man today and have less time for frivolity than usual.

I have also seen pictures of your "good" self and I certainly wouldn't buy an item designed for children's entertainment from someone who looks the sort you wouldn't leave alone in a room full of kids.
If you're book is damn good, then why not let it speak for itself rather than blow your own, rather rusty trumpet.
A book written by a tried and tested professional entertainer I would certainly buy but not from a bitter nobody. I can see why you detest Derren Brown so much, he has all you have not. Talent, originality, best selling books, mass exposure and is busy that he doesn't have the time to sit around all day on internet forums being a tw*t.
He's probably playing to a packed crowd or filming his latest tv show. Two things you will never do.
Your odious personality puts me off buying any of your books. If they are so good, why did the latest fail to find a publisher and became a cobbled together e-book? Oh dear!

If I let my book speak for itself I wouldn't sell any, old chap. As for my ability as a children's entertainer I can assure you I am superb and I hope to prove it shortly in a few days or so.

With regard to a proper publisher I may have a surprise for you soon..........................

I guess that's preferable to blowing your own rusty trombone.

Judging from your pictures, I would feel more comfortable letting Jonathon King babysit!
If you think being arrogant and antagonistic is wit, then you really need to look at yourself. For the handful that find you "amusing", there are many more that find you an irritating old twit who wouldn't touch your generic little books with a barge pole.
For someone who's consistently trying to sell something, you have a very poor understanding of public relations.
Now toddle off and fiddle with your svengali deck...

Lord Freddie,

you have seen my other posts about Mark. indeed enough comments have been made on this thread about my past dealings, including your "sucking up comments." Those don't worry me at all. I have read and heard comments, NOT JUST FROM MARK, about his svengali book.

There is a phrase you may know, about "cutting off your nose to spite your face." Why should I NOT buy something I feel would be useful, to myself and my son, just because of past occourances (sp?)

After our past sparring, I have found his comments about me on this thread quite funny, as intended.

We've been there, done that, got the T Shirt, made mods think about giving up on TM, covered it all, then moved on.

I worked out that I was no better than Mark, when I got abusive on here.
It seems you have yet to learn, as you haven't even figured that
I WAS THE ONE ASKING ADVICE THAT I WANTED FROM MARK REGARDING HIS PRODUCT AND HIS THOUGHTS ON THE EASE THAT MY 11 YEAR OLD SON WOULD COPE WITH IT.

I belive Mark has answered, but will take a couple of my tablets and lie down, before I read it.

Lord Freddie, you are doing as I did. Some people use  or  in posts, which change their meaning. Mark doesn't tend to. I have leaarnt in the last couple of weeks to imagine them in the appropiate parts of his posts. They take on a whole new meaning.
Would I have thought the same a few weeks ago? No.
Remember, we all alagged Mark off in a thread, which he just let us get on with.
What is better for the forum, carrying on personal vendettas, or getting back to magic?

Being told to grow up from a schoolboy who calls himself "Sir Digby Chicken Caeser" and says "dude" all the time?
That's fresh. Read Mark's posts (if you still do English at schools these days) and you'll see he is deliberately rude.
Unlike others, I will bite back.
Get your daddy to read the thread to you - Mark Lewis brought me into this debate - at his peril. I am not a Christian - I don't turn the other cheek!

one of the most useful posts on the entire forum lately

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

Sorry, but he asks for trouble. Slagging someone off then doing an about turn and saying "I want to buy your book!" reeks of desperate pandering.

I don't like people that are bullies, either physical or verbal and don't tolerate them. Each to their own.
If Mark can attack myself and others and be allowed to freely do so, then so should anyone else?
There are other Svengali books written by more reputable people, my advice, if it's means anything to you, is to go for one of those.
I can't bear the thought of anyone lining such a pompous toads pockets.

Lord Freddie, if you want to carry on stirring up trouble, so be it. I decided I would grow up. Down to you, so subject closed.

Mark,

Yes, he will have help from me, not exactly what I call expert tuition though.
I am hoping that he will gain confidence to learn sleights by using a svengali, aswell as normal bikes. It's not meant to sound like a "short cut",
just a way of understanding and coping with card magic better. Anything I can do for his confidence, I will do.

You will be hearing from me after my next pay day.
Thanks for your help.

As I said before, Mark brought me into this debate. I suggest you contact him by pm rather than this public display of fawning. Or just buy his damn book rather than make a big deal about it.
This thread is obviously an olive branch on your part to try and be chums with Lewis. You should join the Labour cabinet, they're good at doing about turns and switching their morals at every opportunity.
Like every thread that Mark Lewis infects, this one will inevitably be locked.
And he still didn't really give you a straight answer did he now?
