Anyone used Tap dancing shoes yet?

If you get some tap dancing shoes, take and unscrew the tap plate from the bottom. Next go to hardware store or scrap metal merchants and get them to cut you a piece of copper plating the same shape and size.........

And shazammmmm you have not only a Bigger conductive area but you also have a metal heel and a pretty much indestructable ET base plate.........

No need to thank me x

No worries, I doubt many would stumble across this thread and understand what was going on here - least of all me!

My initial reaction to the first message was 'Cobblers'. No, I wasn't being insulting but I seem to recall the facility to have shoes fitted with metal heel tips and similar bits of ironmongery added to the front of the shoe sole to combat excessive wear and tear from folks who walk a bit lop-sided. If this is still a facility offered then perhaps a swift visit to the nearest Cobblers to see what they'd charge to convert your favourite pair of Brogues or whatever would be a good idea? And while you're there, ask them why people who repair shoes also cut keys? And why do we never see baby pigeons :? ?
