He taught the other lad a pretty good lesson.

Mind you, when Kahn jumped in the ring and you could just tell he was up for it. Not an ounce of flab anywhere. Total commitment.

Khan's opponents are human punching bags for him to show his moves off on. The final result depends on what Khan needs to show, I was betting on him proving stamina and technical moves (and so the match ending on points). We won't see Amir Khan in a real fight until he gets a title shot.

My next bets are on Calzaghe in the 5th or 6th.

Although he's won 12 from 12 now, there are a couple of his opponents that have been classy (can't remember their names but remember watching them) South Americans and whilst he took a little longer he still came through with relative ease.

I wouldn't ever waste money on a points vbistory where Khan is concerned as he'll either floor his opponent or get floored one day himself. I think that he's a got real talent.

He needs to prove that he has the stamina to take the fight to several rounds. On top of that, he needs opponents that will take him that far. He may appear to be a great talent but that remains to be seen. If you're putting money on him, you need to try and predict what he wants out of the fight. Personally, I'm very suspicious of these fights, you have someone who knows (a) he's gonna lose and (b) he's just there for Khan to show his moves off on. At any moment he can stop fighting, take a few body blows and drop. Which is exactly what happened.

I think this round was very difficult to referee. All sides were unhappy with the decision to stop the fight (especially me  ) but it's difficult to see what the referee could do when the guy wasn't fighting back. There was a minute and half left of the round and the guy was just letting Calzaghe beat him up. I suppose he wanted to get lucky and bust Calzaghe's hands up

I understand what you're saying and I don't disagree. We may be heading for the same conclusion from different angles. My opinion of him at the present time is that he's a toe to toe fighter that isn't interested in going the distance, despite the fact that it would do him good to have this type of test. That's why I think that when he steps into the ring with a much better opponent he'll either step up a notch or will be knocked down.
