Ah, the old miracle change. I never really liked it, honestly. The angles were just too weak. Well done, still. Also, because of exposure, many of my non magi friends know this color change. I guess they're all awesome too, then.

Honestly, the way you did it is the best it can get at. You might try testing different finger positions to make the card end up as close as possible to the Tenkai position, to get more angle coverage.

Edit: You might want to put the change into the context of an actual routine. A basic outline: Have a card selected, control it to the top, do a DL; snap; done.

Snap change isnt it? (is this also knows as miracle change?). Looks good, try doing it but have the reveal with two cards! seems much more impressive to me

I remember the first time i did this to someone i was across the room and had cleaned up by the time i walked towards them (with the changed card in full view) and handeded it to her apon inspection request! Absolutely blown away. Have given it up as ovely angle sensitive now though.

Edit: also dont learn to do it without the deck in your hand. Its easier without but doesnt allow you to ditch the original card easily

Can you think of any other routines with that because I've already done the selected card, control to top, Double-Lift, Then the snap change.

Thanks for all the tips you guys (and girls).

This is correct. Edward Marlo invented the Snap Change.

In Derren's version, doesn't he revolve the card around and perform the change while it's spinning? Its mechanics are essentially the same, with a slightly different presentation.

They are essentially the same mechanics, with only subtle differences. The snap change, as the name suggests is performed with a lot quicker movement of the fingers, and the card is gripped between fingers during the move. The miracle change does not have the same gripping of the cards, more of a swivelling action to it, and lends itself to switching into Tenkai, which the snap change doesn't.

I'm a little bit embarrassed to say that even though I've been able to master several sleight of hand card tricks, I've never been able to do this trick. I keep getting the cards stuck. Anyway, kudos to you for being able to do this clever trick.
