There is a clip on The Best Of Magic Series that I'm trying to trace at the moment. Unfortunately I never indexed either of the 2 series so it means going through all the tapes. Let you know which when I've found it.
I did transfer one long clip onto my 'Great Magicians 'tape, but it was a wobbly transfer that's why I'm searching the tapes for the clip. This one has of Paul Daniels( in a black tuxedo with glitters on it) at the end saying something, but ot cuts off SO it is on another of my tapes somewhere as PD did't compere the Best of Magic. Could have been on Secrets, which I've also never indexed. It's going to be a long Easter.!
I will post the results.
There is a video and now I presume a dvd 'A Tribute To Cardini' by Toreno, introduced by Finn Jon. Put out by International Magic ( Ron McMillans) around 1994/5 ,it explains Cardini's moves, handings etc.
UPDATE 16 April So far I've only found a 2 minute clip on John Fisher's Heroes of Magic( Channel 4). Still searching the two Best Of Magic series.
Had another look at the wobbly tranfer and it's defintely on a Paul Daniels Show. He is sitting, at the beginning, back to camera, watching it come up on a screen and as the clip ends he comes straight on & begins to say about 4 words then I've cut him off. Ouch. However this 'clip' is 9 1/2. (Nine and a half) minutes long and that should give you all a great look at this legendary Master.
So I will search the 6 programmes in PD's Secrets series and let you all know, as that length of time must have been nearly the whole Act.
One more fact I've remembered, at the London Palladium they have ( or perhaps had?) a set of blue tabs which, because they admired & liked him so much, were christened The Cardini Blues or The Cardini Tabs.
