I tried doing a search, but to no avail...

Does anyone know where you can get this in the UK? I've tried the obvious retailers, but nowt?!

I haven't heard of it and google doesn't seem to have either. Magicshop, based in the UK, don't sell it and nor do magictricks, so I don't really know where to go from here.

I think I read it somewhere that it was something to do with penguin magic so I imagine it will be sold exclusevily through them for the time being.

Just had a look but I can't see anything and the search is equally unproductive. Sorry.

Kernow magic do it

http://www.kernowmagic.co.uk/item--Street-Magic-Magazine--100625.html

From Kernow magic
You won’t be able to put it down.

Order now before we run out of the first issue.... ships 18th April

I read someone that the editor/ producer someone was giving out free copies to dealers and how it's going to be sold in standard shops (i.e WHSmiths kind) but I'm guessing that will only be availiable in America.

They say that MagicSeen is avaliable in Borders Bookshops. I have looked in 3 and have never found it!

On a recent trip to Seattle (U.S.) I was at the Market Magic Shop when a gentleman came in and introduced himself to the shop owner. He said he had a hand in the production of the magazine (editorial staff if I remember correctly) and said that they'd be releasing their first issue in the coming months. He said the aim of the magazine was to make magicians more accessible to people...I think his exact words had something to do with "magicians are people, too. You know, they go golfing and stuff." He said he wanted it to be a sort of "GQ" magazine for magic.

He also said that they were looking to sell this exclusively through brick and mortar shops in an effort to get folks back in the stores and off of the Internet for their shopping.

I'm sorry for the long-winded post, and sorry I can't remember exactly when they were going to release the mag.

The magazine is full of obscentities, poor design and 'kids' stuff.

I very much doubt the mag is aimed at getting people back to magic bricks & mortar shops as it's published by a self-righteous internet magic shop owner.

I'm very old fashioned. I like music where you can hear the words.

My apologies for the incorrect information. I suppose he was talking about another magazine. No harm intended.

We have the Street Magic Magazine

Postby kernowmagic » Apr 15th, '07, 18:45

Hi everyone,

Just a note to confirm to all that we do have the magazine in stock.

www.kernowmagic.co.uk

It was supposed to be released in Febuary in time for Blackpool from what we were aware.

It is produced by James Clarke from Blacks Magic (Alexander Black).

After several promises of shipment from James and several missed deadlines we were eventual told that distribution will now take place through Magic Makers Inc. We have taken a small quantity from Magic Makers to test the market hence the limited supply quote. This is also due to the fact that the first copy released is dated March and its now April and the next copy is due in a few weeks time.

The magazine is priced at £5.95 which makes it the most costly of all the publications.

We will stock it if the customers want it so back to you.

Hope this helps a little.

I had Problems with Blacks Magic (or the post), too. I ordered it one month ago and didn't recieve anything. As I wrote them the only respons I got was that all the orders has been shipped out and they cannot track it.
There's nothing I can do I guess...

The magazines are also availible at
www.my-magicshop.com / www.magicshop.ch

Looking forward to find mine in the mailbox tonight. Let's see if it's kids stuff or not. Although I don't think so.
Articles written by great magicians - kind of has to be good...

I got the first edition free with an american order.

To be honest its alright but I wouldn't buy it again. It has some good interviews but it wasn't my cup-of-tea
