Ok, i am almost ready to quit. Can anyone help me out? I have made this thing SO many times and it either breaks as I am putting the 2nd card in or it does not lift the card out of the deck at all.

Once i even had one that would only lift the card out about 1/2 inch for the first reveal and also if I tried to put the second card in it broke. If it is so tight the 2nd card can not be put in shouldn't the first rise good?!?!

I really don't understand how I could be making it wrong. Either it is not strong enough to lift the card out or it breaks. I have tried taking out 5-6 cards and still it does not rise. I have tried with a new deck of cards as well as an old deck... same results.

What am I doing wrong??? I am about to just give up on this trick... it just doesn't seem possible w/ these supplies that they send... maybe there is a better kind of supply??

If anyone could help me that would be awsome.

EDIT: Ever tried doubling them up and using 2?

If it keeps breaking you're probably making it too small. It should also help to stretch it out by spinning it around your thumbs like he does in the DVD to loosen it up a bit.

Even if it is so small that it will break when the second card is put into the deck, the first card still will not rise out of the deck.

This makes no since.... have people actually had sucess with this?

Yeah I read that thread and posted in it but it seems know one is really talking in it anymore. No one ever really said if they ever got it figured out or not either. Some people say that the gimmick is really easy to construct (which it is) but never say if it actually works or not.

Kinda sucks to spend money like this and not even be able to use the trick....

Sorry if I wasn't supposed to create a different thread, i just figured that one was more for people to reveiw it.... i am looking for some people to discuss tactics on actually getting this trick to work.

I don't know what to say. I make them just like he says in the DVD and I've never had any problems with it. I still think you should try making the gimmick bigger and stretching it out a bit, if you haven't already.

I'm not even sure how this effect works but if its problems with it then i can only suggest trying a very fine grade fishing line.

I have made the gimmick about 15 times now and if I make it bigger it is not strong enough to lift the card out of the deck. I have been strechting it out how he says on the dvd as well.

I have 2 made now that seem to be about as perfect as possible. When i put 2 cards in it is tight as can be without breaking but still does not rise more than 1/2 inch out of the deck.

I don't get it.... im glad you have had success though!
