Sankey's Paperclipped

I have seen this trick somewhere, but not in the Paperclipped DVD itself, and also not in Sankeytized V2. Where would I have seen this then?

Actually, there are a few rip-off effects that use bull clips (I think that's what their called... odd name) instead of paper clips.

Regarding the bull-dog clip "rip offs"-

It was sometime around 1980 when I first saw an effect in a magic shop that utilized a bull-dog clip to sw**** a prediction. This was quite some time before the release of paper-clipped.

I don't know if what you saw was similar to that, or a dead on rip-off. I just wanted to point out that this is not a new idea: having something "clipped" in full view. Sankey's idea is nothing short of brilliant, and I am in no position to guess how he arrived at this effect. I am only pointing out that the principle is not quite new.
