Two friends of mine, one in late 60's and other close to 90 years old have huge magic colelctions(books and items) and unimaginable magic knowledge. It is sad that due to their old age and odd circumstances which these two people are going through both collections and their undocumented knowledge is on way towards extinction and without any sucession. I am doing whatever is possible from my end. Individuals have limitations. Trying areas like sponsors from corporates, friends etc. Sucess yet to come.
This is a real knowledge management issue.
I request upon the members of Talk magic to suggest ways to tacle this issue.
In my next communication I will be writing about an interesting friend of mine who is 78 years old.

It might help if you could specify exactly what this "issue" is.
Are you merely after selling their magic collection on, or are you after their work being recognised in some way, by having a book written etc ?
QUESTION: If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??
I have already documeted documted a many tricks and what ever is possible from my end I am trying it out. Yet to capture many tricks on video. Also These 2 friends are staying 1000 kms away which adds to my limitations. Normally we kee in touch by phone and by post. Even they do not have an email facility.
I had proposed to some of my friends to make a museum or a libarary where these collections can be used by many. Selling the items is not the objective.
One year ago I got a very old copy of booklet titled "ULTIMATE COLOUR SEPARATION" which conatins many different moves for OIL and WATER effect. Currently I am putting it on the computer with some additions.
I'm just wondering that there would be a local magic group or society that could help on this matter. Take onboard some of the knowledge and look after any collections for future generations of magicians
