What's the name of that move?

Postby CumQuaT » Apr 24th, '07, 04:04

Hello fellow card magicians, I'm looking to find the name of a particular move in card manipulation. It's where you hold the deck, face up, in the mechanics grip, then very quickly turn your hand so the deck is face down, but when you bring it back upright again, the card on the top of the deck has changed. It's a very standard move, but without the name I can't describe to people what it is I'm trying to learn!

(Also, any good places to learn lots of little moves like this? Not so much tricks but little interesting things to do during a routine)

There are quite a few different ways of doing it, have a look through Royal Road for some ideas. You could use a d/l, p**m, top change, the list is endless really.

Depends if you mean with or without cover. With cover, then it's probably a turnover pass. Without, there's a move my Erdnase which can be found on Expert at the Card Table.
