Can anyone remind me of the Derren Brown 3 of Hearts trick. Well its not a trick as such. He showed it on one of his earlier shows. He asked the audience at home to visualise a certain card and he described it in such a way as to make it the 3 or Hearts for everyone.

Im not asking for anyone to reveal a trick as its already been on TV and discussed on here too. I have just forgotten the topic it was under and I wish to discuss it further.

it is 3d on devil's picturebook, also 4h and 4c i think.

On DPB it is 3 of Diamonds... and I've never got it to work. I should think the amount of times I've tried it that the odds are by sheer numbers I should get it right one day.

Me neither. Gave up now and bought Bang On - right every time!

i've tried turning a card in a deck and doing the mental force and when i didn't hit it i've pulled out the ID.

Might as well just build a routine around the ID, really...

its purely to practice a mental force in a performance situation.
i have hit the 4c once and let the spec open the card box and find their own card face down, it's only happened once but the reaction was awsome.

What is it Derren actually says again. I was speaking about it to my Psychology Professor and he was very interested but I didnt have the details. I would also like to know wether it can be done anonymously EG via MSN/Yahoo messenger or purely in person.

IN DPB he has several of those including the Jack of Spades one... I have been practising these several times and have either the I.D. or Brainwave deck close to me in case it of the unlikely (read 'most probable') event of it not working )

I have managed to pull it off ONCE, but I was more surprised than the spectator....
