Does anyone use a shoulder bag for walkabout? I am thinking about one and wondered if it would look odd.

Depends. On a Saturday afternoon I do, but then again it's all bars and pubs.

I have once or twice for outdoor pub courtyard walkaround gigs in summer.
For me I found it very useful as there was no going back your box to get supplies. I think though that this will only ever be suitable for a more relaxed type situation and dont think it would work at a restaurant, wedding or other private function

If your looking for good bags, I use an old CD WALKMAN bag that I got from currys, comes with a nice strap and lots of wallets inside for storage, holds about 4 decks lots of coins and other junk x

now there's a bonus of being a girl, I can easily get away with carrying a bag, no matter what the setting is

Maybe you should explore the possiblity of getting a murse.

i carry one. but then i usually need to to carry some juggling props too. i guess in a way it does make some things easier, i can carry plenty more things and don't have to have too many decks of cards in my pockets (something i've never felt overly comfortable with).
i never claim i carry a shoulder back or a murse though, i just carry a handbag, end of!

I wear a fleece type jacket which has pockets big enough to carry all I need including 3 decks, BIP book, pen thru anything, TT, wallet and whatever else I choose to do. The jacket is also rigged with a cig pull, IT reel and a Bat. Coins in pockets and a PK ring on and I have pretty much all I need!

madness. i've got 2 gigs today: one juggling through the day, then some magic in the evening. so i've packed bags up, the juggling one is quite full. and the magic one isn't even a bag tonight, it's a deck of cards and 22p. i might leave it at that and see how much i can get out of it, probably more than enough.

I like to have something else other than just cards. Also, if I do something different and put the deck away, I can switch my blue bikes for identical looking ID.

i am looking for a good shoulder strap one myself.
