Well...there is a magic club in Farnborough, Hampshire, if that's not too far away from you. It is called

F.A.M.E (Farnborough Association of Magical Entertainers)

Web site: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/mandini/FAME.html

I'm not a member though I did go there about 12-13 years ago.

WOW

At just a couple of months under six years, this post may set a record for being the post that has taken the longest time to get a response

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Better late than never. Who knows... perhaps someone who looks at the most active links may also benefit from my link.

At least my response had value. Did yours ??!

Easy shane, Dat didn't mean any offence... these kinds of comments are often made when an old post is brought back up.

Notice how he didn't say anything negative about you or your post, for instance - there's really nothing to take offence to there.

Hey Cardza,

Why are you defending Dat ? It seemed sarcastic to me and is therefore an issue between Dat and me. I am puzzled why you need to interfere ??
Are you his spokesperson ?

I dont think anyone needs to have an "issue" with anyone over this thread. Dat was merely pointing out that it took a long time for this request to be met.

I've seen a lot of your posts on the forum today Shaneking, it seems like you could benefit from taking your time and getting to grips with the spirit of this place before you (possibly) get on the wrong side of people.

Its a very more the merrier kind of place, just ease yourself in gently

Hey Keymaster,

Get a life !

I interpreted the response as sarcastic. Merely pointing out the time it took to respond could not be construed as anything else but sarcastic, from my point of view.

What would you construe as sarcastic ??

Regards,

Shane

P.S I am from the UK. It may be that we have a sense of humour failure as it is often the case between the UK and US.

P.P.S I really don't mean to offend so don't take anything as offensive. In fact, the opposite is true, I scour old archives to help. Afterall, I have 25 years of experience in magic.

I perosnally dont interpret it that way. To me it seems that Dat just found it funny it took so long for the request to be met, It could have been answered by anyone and he would have made the same comment, so its nothing against you personally!! As stated above its common for this kind of post to be made when an old thread is brought up (and this was an old thread!).

Hi Keymaster,

I sure do appreciate your reply.....I thought I was communicating in a looney bin (just check out my last conversations in the last hour !)

I will stick around. Magic is in my blood, and I am only too happy to help newcomers to the art. It is a wonderful hobby for me and has, over the years, defined me.

Thannk you

Shane

What Keymaster said.

This is a forum after all (look up the definition ) and I'd seen that you'd been acting in similar ways on another thread where (with getting on for two years experience with this forum) I know no offence was meant.

Do stick around, you clearly have a lot of experience, but as this is a public forum people tend to 'interfere' in threads... and yup, I am from the UK and have a very good sense of humour thank you. Not sure why this has been brought up in the thread but hey ho.

And whatever happened to sarcasm being the lowest form of humour?

Shaneking

Chill out man......

There was no offence meant and I don't have an issue with you. I don't even know you. If I were bothered about it, I could say that your reply appeared to be far more confrontational than mine.....

No one's defending me in the following posts- just pointing out that I didn't post anything negative or derogatory about you! If you took the post as being sarcastic then I apologise.

Enough said..

No, it is me who should apologise.

I am sorry.

I'm a newbie to forums and in future I won't be so hasty.
