Hey everyone,
I would like A review on both of those and possibly some one preforming them. Oh and what one is better? Thanks!

Well they aren't tricks, they are tools, very much in the same way as a svengali deck is. There are many effects you can do with a mirage deck and I assume the pp.

One advantage of th emirage over the sven deck is that it can be spread face up to show all the cards different.

I have one and will occaisionally use it as a forcing deck when on stage.

I don't know much about the popeyed popper, but it sounds pretty much like the same thing. The bits I have read are that it is an excellent forcing deck as well..

you couldn't go far wrong with an Oracle deck either

although i guess it depends what trick you're aiming for. a popeyed popper is alright, but you could probably get more milage from a svengali deck

ever consider a psychomatic peek deck instead? kinda like a svengali, but more examinable...and you can use the cards for other nefarious means too..

There are two methods of spreading the cards to show they are all different in my book.
There are various methods of switching the deck so you can have them examined but I don't actually bother with any of them even though they are described in the book. I do have one method in the book where the deck CAN be examined without switching and another brilliant method of avoiding anyone asking in the first place.
I usually use the latter.

However I ALWAYS show the deck to be all different and all the same again. Various ninnies will advise that this is a bad idea. However they are not experts on the svengali deck. I am.

And I have hereby decreed that I am the way, the truth and the light in these matters.

There is no point using a svengali deck in the first place if you don't do the amazing and astonishing trick of making them all different and all the same again. After all that is the very purpose of the deck. The gasps and amazement you will get will soon make you change your mind if you have heretofore believed the rot that you shouldn't show the deck to be all the same and all different again on the grounds that everyone will think you are using a trick deck.

And how do you deal with people thinking you have a trick deck after seeing the deck change? I am afraid you will have to buy my book to find out.

not being an expert mark, thats definatly your job.

i usualy use the sven to force a card then ribbon spread them on the table using the falling method, get anouther spec to look at the cards as i riffle through them saying one card will jump out at them and to call out that card which matches the chosen card, then ribbon spread the deck again.
its a classic basic sven routine but always goes over well.

I have just checked the book and found that the method I mentioned of discouraging people from examining the deck is not explained properly although it is slightly alluded to. I shall therefore give it here.

Simply say "This is a trick deck I purchased in a magic shop"

There. Problem solved.

And if you do feel like switching the deck after all (even though I never do) the effect will be doubled when they examine them and find nothing wrong with them.
