Was Paul Daniels Jr being lined-up by his Dad at one point, before they had a falling-out?

He wasn't a magician but I think David Copperfield's dad was an entertainer.

Martin Daniels, I think. Can't remember whether he did comedy and magic or just comedy. He was on tv quite frequently many moons ago.

Yeah - I think Martin was mainly comedy (and I'm sure he actually appeared on the PD Magic Show several times, too) , but I'm pretty certain that Paul Sr was - at some point - lining Paul Jr up with his own magic gigs....though it very quickly collapsed (I'm guessing, due to Paul Jnr's various lifestyle issues)

If it was magic mushrooms, the irony would have been fabulous!
