Hello all

Has anybody heard anything about a new dvd that features Andy Nyman performing & teaching his routines, I heard this at my local club a few weeks ago & wondered if there was any truth in the rumour?

I haven't heard about this, but if you do find out more I'd be keen to know more about it. I've read a set of lecture notes by him and his thinking is excellent.

There's nothing showing on either Peter Nardi's site or Andy's own site. Yet!

I'm pretty sure that the DVD has been shot and is waiting to be released. I'm not sure where I heard this though. My guess is that they will wait for Blackpool.

Whenever it gets released I am sure it will be well worth the wait. I have great admiration for this man and all his magic and I will definitely be buying it.

So the rumours were true!

If anyone is interested Andy Nyman will be lecturing at the Ipswich Magical Society on the 1st March 2004, magical visitors are most welcome to attend the lecture!

Andy Nyman is unquestionably (in my mind) the best mentalist working today.

Funny, entertaining, great thinking adn brillantly acted mind reading.

The DVD is indeed a "truth" and will for me be the buy of 2004. Look out over at Alakazam for more information on it.

I've just heard that Andy Nyman had to cancel this due to being offered a starring role in a film being made in Prague. It all sounds very intriguing and although is big disappointment I obviously wish him the best of luck with the project.

The good news is however that we (well roman59 actually) has managed to get Marc Paul as a replacement. WOOHOO. Well done roman59.

The other good news is that Andy Nyman still hopes to do another lecture at Ipswich later in the year, or even better - he hopes to be performing at the Annual Ipswich Magical Society Convention, which will take place at the back end of the year. Obviously his filming commitments will come first, but fingers crossed. Watch this space as it were...

Incidentally the lectures and convention will be open to non IMS members, so all will be welcome. If you are interested please contact roman59 or myself.

D*** and blast. I managed to convince my wife to postpone our holiday because of that lecture. Oh well.

DVD Update:

The Get Nyman DVD will ship on Tuesday, 24th... which is very good news for the magic community. I have already booked Wednesday off work and will endeavour to provide a completely biased and loaded review.

This could be my most anticipated postal delivery since the Devil's Picturebook...
