I'm guessing this effect will work anywhere you can touch both sides of the glass. so, patio windows, shop doors, car doors, bus stops, etc. are all in the mix. If it's genuinely as clean as it looks, I'd say this is definitely the first genuinely impromptu CTW I've seen.

thanlyou...but unfortunately the effect isn't impromptu.

well...it is and it isnt. you need a gimmick...as long as you have this gimmick on you then it can be performed on an ungimmicked winodw. so it isn't "on the spot" unless you have what you require with you.

hope my rambling made sense?

Magic Chris wrote:Okay let me explain this easy........

You see a signed card

a hand goes up to the glass with it

as it is being "magically pushed thru" the glass

the other hand goes around the side of the glass

and then collects the card from the other side

therefore achieving a CTW effect

- Now what I meant was wouldnt it be clever if this hand didnt go aorund the other side of the glass to collect it, because that creates suspision that theres some kind of funny move goin on, so wouldnt it be nicer if it was shot from the other side and you saw the card come thru the glass without the cafuffle of hands either side?

I hope that was easy enough for you.......

...

and my friend, as soon as you create a method for that without any set up on the window, I shall be first in line to witness it

No, no, that makes perfect sense. It also means, potentially, that some little toe rag can't rip it off and post it everywhere if there's a physical gimmick involved.

yeah...but the gimmick i flashed in the video...only a minor one..even i didnt spot it until a friend pointed it out a few days back! the gimmick is actually summit i had in my house already...fancy the chances of that! ;)

all i had to do was customise two of them, and the third gimmick most magicians have already.

but when i say three seperate gimmicks...it isnt really as complicated as it sounds! :P

I love it when people who frequent magicians' forums and learn and perform tricks say an effect is bad because it's not REALLY happening. Only when they can physically take the card out of the window themselves will they admit that "it's good". At that point most of us other folk will be running clutching our religious symbols...

he he. I like the idea of someone buying a CTW and being disappointed that it doesn't really pass through the glass.

I was telling a mate of mine once about the CTW effect and that I was thinking about learning it. She stopped me mid sentence and said "sure thats an easy trick all you have to do is open the window first!".........

......If only Dave Forrest or Jay Sankey had've thought about that first eh?

Bearing in mind this is coming from a girl who asked me once about night time football matches. She wondered how the players saw the ball in the dark Image

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.
