Twisted Sisters

Postby Luker21 » Feb 5th, '04, 17:58

I have been reading through old reviews and things and whenever i saw anything about twisted sisters it talked about an advanced handling and a ghost count or something like that.
can anyone enlighten me as to the adveanced method? i just use the one in the instructions at the mo.
thanks.

The instructions give two methods don't they? They are pretty much identical except that one uses the ghost count, also known as the Elmsley Count which is described in the back of the instructions.

Try doing a search on the forum for Elmsley count, it is basically a way of counting four cards as four but hiding one or for counting five cards as four and hiding two.

The Ghost count is now referred to as the Elmsley Count after Alex Elmsley and is a method of, for example, 'clearly' showing 4 face down cards but disguising the fact that one or more are actually face up. You'd need to check out Videos/DVD's etc on this count (it dates from the 1970's so isn't in RRTCM) and there are many websites which give more details, either in written or pictorial form. If you can't find any, PM me and I'll try and send you something to start you off. (PS I'm still struggling with it but I'll get there eventually!)

im ok with the elmsley count now, i can do it relatively confidently, i have found it with 4 cards much easier now because i have practised certain tricks with 5 and going back to 4 afterwards seem to make it much easier.
i was just checking that there is in fact 1 method to do the twisted sisters in everyones manuscripts, beacuse i only have 1.

There's one method, but doesn't it suggest that you can leave the elmsley count out if you can't do it?
