Introducing... Jae :)

Postby Jae » May 9th, '07, 15:44

Having periodically visited these forums and having lurked for a while I thought I had better join properly. So for the time being your stuck with me!

I work as a Psychotherapist and Independent Counsellor in private practice with clients throughout the UK as well as providing Corporate work including Motivational and Health & Safety related services.

I use Clinical Hypnosis on pretty much a daily basis and although I have taught & coached others in Stage Hypnosis I prefer to perform that purely for close family & friends as I believe it's not compatible with my professional role re therapy. Also, that just isn't my scene.

My main interests are Mentalism, Escapology and Illusion although I have an interest in all forms of magic. I'm not adverse to using some of these effects within my day to day work where they help focus attention or amplify a point but I don't make my living out of what is really a hobby/addiction which has at times taken over. I am seriously considering the option of forming an act but if that goes ahead it won't be until next year at the earliest. Other things have to be sorted first and I won't proceed unless I am convinced what i do is professional enough.

I've not used the standard code as yet because I can't decide which level I should declare myself as. No doubt that will become apparent in due course. I am well over 18 though!!! :o WELL OVER 18!!!

Looking forward to chatting to you all. Hopefully learning some new things and hopefully able to throw some interesting bits and pieces in myself.

Thank you. Just struggling now to find a suitable Avatar; may have to get one of the brats to shrink one of my images. I am quite IT literate but only to the extent of using programmes!

Hi and welcome to TM

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

WOW, what a welcome! Think I'll hire you lot as my audience as and when I decide to present the stage show. :)

monker59 - but it would be stretching this thread it if I also said I was into TT racing. TaDa! (Now you know why I am NOT a stand up comic!)

Thank you all, this is certainly the most welcoming forum I've ever joined. :)

...just waiting for the trapdoor and that cunning surprise you have in store. that's the thing with magician's and their ilk, you just can't trust 'em!

Again, many thanks for the welcome and also the pleasant PMs I've received. Do seem to be a nice crowd in here who will accept folk at face value with no expectations.
