I have bought a couple of DVDs from Ellusionist because they marketed it so well (that's my story and I'm sticking to it!)

Banachek's Psychokinetic Time and Paul Harris' Art Of Astonishment were also boughten at Ellusionist

I have 47 books, booklets, manuscripts, and lecture notes on magic, but have not read half of them

I have two unopened DVDs from 3+ months ago

I have been wanting to learn how to use a TT for over a year now but have been too embarrassed to ask someone how, and don't even know what type/size to purchase.

Don't kill me !

*sob* It all started when I was just a young lad...

Well, I am young, and have a lot to learn, and I can admit to it :P.

We all learn from our mistakes, when I first started doing magic, I thought Penguin was the nicest place in the world. Then I learned that they sell c***y (not the best) products and "learned" that Ellusionist was the best place in the world and out to help starting magicians...And now I have learned from my mistakes and do not purchase from either, and vow to never buy anything from them again!

Anyway...At least I'm a winner at something .

Best wishes to all,
~Magically Dave

I am horrible at hand flourishes. I can manipulate a spread out deck in almost anyway I choose, but when it comes to use hand flourishes, I might as well by trying to flourish real bricks.

I spend all my time practising pointless card manipulations that I never use in performance, when I should be practising sleights. :x
It's just too addictive for me.

I can Elmsley, Charlier, three-way false swing-cut, riffle-shuffle, Ascanio, classic pass, shapeshift, snap-change, impulse etc, etc....'til the cows come home.

Can I do a bog-standard overhand shuffle correctly? Not a cat in hell's chance...I'm just ABNORMAL

Kras, instead of telling everyone else that they are the champion of embarrassment when you have barely said a word about your own problems. I just hope you don't fall over and hurt yourself after you have to jump off your high horse.

I can roll 2 coins on my right hand, do the four coin display then balance them on the tips of my fingers without the assistance of my left hand. I can muscle pass 1.5 feet up. I can muscle pass 2 coins past each other from each hand and catch them in the other hand. But I don't know a single only coins routine...

Currently Reading "House of Mystery" (Abbott, Teller), Tarbell, Everything I can on busking

Although i am still rwelatively new to magic their are some elements of the art that just don't flow with me.

I can't perform any card flourishes for my life, of any level whatsoever.

My DL is about as subtle as an elephant on your toe and my pinky break looks like I'm holding two seperate packs.

Sponge balls and i just dnt get along at all. They always manage to find a way to squeeze out of the side and into the spectators view.

For my pass i maswell hold the deck up in front of the spectators face and show what i am doing since its the most blaitent move i attempt, which i can only do using mis-direction.

I aint to good at palming any coin really without having a claw shaped hand, but to be fair i haven't had too much practice with it.

I only know around 3 tricks well enough to perform for people out of Mark Wilsons Complete Course and i don;t have a single routine to my name

I could go on but i think i've emarressed myself enough for one night lol

I apologize, Monker. Just trying to make a few jokes here and there.

My shame is that I didn't know who Juan Tamariz was until the beginning of this year. I also couldn't single-handedly get a pinky break under the top card of the deck to save my life. All of my card fans looked lop-sided before January AND The only way I can get into two split fans is if I press the packets against my chest!

Those are my not-so-secret-anymore shames! Happy now, Monker? :)

I own about 4 TTs, have messed around with them, but have never performed a routine with them.

I just remembered of something totally embarrassing. I was at my cousin's house in New Jersey and she said her boyfriend was coming over and that he was into magic. At this time it was probable that she was going to marry him and I had never met him. That being said, I decided to get him a magic gift to sort of welcome him into the family. So I went to a small magic shop and bought him a TT. When I finally met him, he was black and the TT I got was for white people  . Fortunately my cousin and him are no longer back together (that way I don't have to deal with that embarrassment!).
