Hello peeps

I recently got my first TW and purchased the Dave Powell Swami TW.
Looking in the instructions it does tell you how to replace the lead but it fails to inform you of the width of the lead in the TW.
Has anyone any experience with this TW and if so (1) what is the size of lead for replacements and (2) have I made a good swami decision with this model?

Tar very much

if you get a chance, pick up a boon type.
far easier to conceal than a tw and possible more controllable (?).
Then again, if it works for you fella then it's all good.

not a fan of sigs, so I won't bother adding o..... oh

There are several types of TWs, all in use by pros. So, the type you need is the one that works best for you. Sometimes I use one, sometimes another, depending on the effect.

The lead, you are looking for is thicker than typical lead (#2 pencil). You might want to head to the art store on this. It isn't only the size, but also the legibility, etc. Some folks use "China marker" types for a good, legible, thick line. If you want more of a normal lead look, you will have several to choose from - and then you should pick up a pencil that matches your lead type.

If you are looking for information on Swamis, pick up Thirteen Steps to Mentalism by Corinda. It outlines about 10 (maybe more) different types of TWs: their strengths and weaknesses, how they fit on the thumb, etc.

Can't you pop the end of the lead out from it and take that along with you?

You can actually buy cases of pencil lead, but I've only seen very narrow stuff.
