My Greatest Ever Act of Clairvoyance!

Postby themagicwand » May 10th, '07, 22:48

Wedding. Drunken best man has my money and the DJ's money in seperate envelopes. Best man says in front of room full of guests: "If you're really psychic, you'll know which envelope has your money in!" I guess (sorry divine) correctly. Room bursts into rapturous applause. Of such moments are legends made.

...The only down-side was that the DJ was being paid more....ouch!

Seriously, though - damn good call; bet that really went down well :D

Yes, it could have all gone horribly wrong! Of such moments do careers go down the plug hole!

you've gotta give it a shot havn't you!? kudos
was it a complete guess? or did you have any idea?

i had my greatest pyschic moment a while ago, i was doing some magic in a bar and managed to "read" a person and know their name, where they lived, went to school, name of their cat... a few things i couldn't have known.
and somehow they didn't clock on that we used to hang out in highschool, apparently my appearance has changed somewhat since then.
the joys of hot reading

A complete guess! The guy didn't know my name so I couldn't even try to judge body language. When I chose he looked at the envelope before handing it over and said "Ah, but what's your name?" I told him. The envelope had my name on. Success! Obviously only a 50/50, but it played big (as they say)!

While we're on the topic of good luck i was performing a few tricks here and there for one of my dads friends which he was absoloutley tranced by. For a bit of fun i told him to watch his watch very carefully at half past 10 that night as something quite soecial would happen (That was bs). Anyways the next day i wake up to a loud knock on my front door and go down to see who it is, no body other than my dads friend. Apparently his watched stopped not at half 10 but at half 11 that night and he wanted me to restart it. Surely enough i took the wtch gave it a tap on the table near the door only for it to start working again.

Only problem being now is nobody will let me near their property as they think i am capable of stopping and starting things on command lol

That's great about your luck (I mean psychic powers). My greatest future-telling episode came with the airing of American Idol last year. I don't know if anyone outside the U.S. knows about it, but its basically a singing competition. The first time I saw one performer audition for it, I said to my family "He's going to win". His name was Taylor Hicks and in four months or so, he won. It was very good even though only my mom and my sister were there when I said it.

And if he was getting paid more than you, and you got it wrong, all you need to say was 'oh well, it was worth a try'. It then seems like you knew which envelope had the most money in.
